Kaxaan Nautical Foundation

DIVE with a Purpose

Participating in a Kaxaan Expedition is unlike any dive trip you have taken before.  You will integrate into a team structure and participate with leading archeologists as we assist in uncovering our nautical past.

This is a working expedition in which all participants will pitch in to help meet the expedition objectives.  All Participants will have roles to play and be expected to fill tanks, prepare meals, do research, Haul Gear, perform community service, teach English, draft reports, be a safety diver etc.  Our accomodations will vary by location, on occasion you may sleep on a liveaboard & on others you may well end up sleeping in a hammock, and be fed by local host families.

Participation is by invitation only, if interested please download and fill out our questionaire.  We are always looking for specific skill sets for divers and non-divers alike, they include; Advanced & technical diver certifications, Medical background, UW & Land Photographers, Spanish Speakers, Public relations, Mechanical aptitude, overall strong fitness levels, but the most important feature we look for is a positive attitude.

If your expectations are to dive with colorful corals and fish and sip on a margarita in the afternoon… this expedition is not for you.  What I can assure you is that you will be exposed to historically significant marine exploration starting at 6am, by the end of each day you will be exhausted and exhilarated from the days work.  Your participation in a Kaxaan expedition will have a long turn impact on the local community hosting us during our trip thru initiatives we will develop to improve their lives.

Join me to make an impact,
